Gold price rises by 150 Syrian pounds in Syrian market

Gold price rises by 150 Syrian pounds in Syrian market

Damascus, Aug. 12 (SANA) The price of a gram of 21-karat gold in the Syrian market rose by 150 Syrian pounds on Wednesday afternoon compared with its morning price, according to the General Authority for Precious Metals Management.

The authority’s morning bulletin listed the price of a gram of 21-karat gold at 16,050 Syrian pounds for selling and 15,750 pounds for buying. The afternoon bulletin put the price at 16,200 pounds for selling and 15,900 pounds for buying.

The price of a gram of 18-karat gold also rose during the day, from 13,800 Syrian pounds for selling and 13,500 pounds for buying in the morning to 13,900 pounds for selling and 13,600 pounds for buying in the afternoon.

The global gold ounce price rose from $4,408 in the morning to $4,414 in the afternoon.
