Damascus, May 11 (SANA) The Deputy Chairman of Syria’s General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport, Sameh Arabi, met Monday with representatives of several UAE aviation companies on the sidelines of the first Syria-UAE Investment Forum, which opened at the Ebla Cham Palace Hotel in Damascus.
The authority said via its official Telegram channel that both sides affirmed during the meeting the importance of expanding cooperation and exchanging expertise in ways that support the development of the civil aviation sector and strengthen investment and partnership opportunities between Syria and the UAE.
The Syrian side included Anwar Aqqad, CEO of the Syrian Holding Company, and Abdullah al-Nasser, Director of Investment and Development. The UAE delegation included representatives from Emirates Ground Services, flydubai, Air Arabia, Etihad Airways, dnata, and JETEX.
The first Syria-UAE Investment Forum, organized by the Syrian Investment Authority, opened Monday morning and runs for two days, with the aim of exploring investment and economic cooperation prospects between the two countries.
