Meeting of Economy Minister with Lebanese Ambassador to Syria

Damascus, April 23 (SANA) Economy and Industry Minister Nidal al-Shaar met on Wednesday with Lebanese Ambassador to Syria Henry Quston in Damascus, where the two sides reviewed mechanisms to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between Syria and Lebanon.

The discussions focused on enhancing communication between company directors and business leaders in both countries, with the aim of opening new prospects for joint investment partnerships. The talks also addressed measures to support economic exchange and promote greater integration between the Syrian and Lebanese markets.

Officials examined ways to facilitate private-sector engagement and improve coordination channels that could help expand bilateral trade and investment flows.

Earlier on Wednesday, al-Shaar held separate talks in Damascus with Claudio Cordone, Deputy Special Envoy of the United Nations to Syria, where they discussed avenues to boost economic cooperation and reinforce the role of international organizations in supporting productive sectors.
