Doha, March. 3 (SANA) QatarEnergy announced Tuesday the suspension of production of several chemical, petrochemical, and derivative products, following a halt in liquefied natural gas output after Iranian attacks on its facilities.
The company said in a post on X that the suspension affects vital products including urea, polymers, methanol, aluminum, and other derivative materials.
QatarEnergy yesterday suspended liquefied natural gas production and related products after the Iranian attacks targeted its operational facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City.
The decision, by one of the world’s largest LNG producers, is part of precautionary measures amid ongoing military escalation in the region, including continued strikes between United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other, which have directly affected shipping, supply chains, and energy costs.
