Damascus, Feb. 9 (SANA) – Head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Alaa al‑Ali, held talks on Monday with Ali al‑Suwaieh, chairman of the Saudi‑Ugandan Business Council, and Mohammad al‑Suwaieh, chairman of the Saudi‑Tajik Business Council, to explore opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation and developing joint investment projects.
Al‑Ali affirmed the federation’s readiness to support any initiative that helps expand Syria’s economic partnerships and contributes to national development. He noted that such meetings form a practical step toward deepening Syria’s engagement with international partners and broadening avenues for trade and investment.

The discussions focused on identifying sectors suitable for joint ventures, facilitating direct communication between Syrian and Saudi business communities, and laying the groundwork for long‑term commercial cooperation.
Earlier on Monday, al‑Ali announced that a high‑level Syrian economic delegation will visit Uzbekistan from February 11 to 14, with representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy, and Industry. The visit aims to enhance bilateral economic ties and explore new investment opportunities.
These efforts reflect a broader push by the Syrian Chambers of Commerce to build economic bridges, diversify partnerships, and support the country’s path toward sustainable economic recovery.
