Damascus, Jan. 23 (SANA) Syrian Finance Minister Mohammed Yisr Barnieh met Friday with Noureddine Mabrouk, regional director of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), in Damascus to explore ways of strengthening cooperation.
According to a statement by the Finance Ministry on its Telegram channel, talks focused on creating a platform for civil society organizations in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, aimed at supporting local institutions and improving efficiency.
The two sides also discussed potential projects in energy, infrastructure, roads, and urban transport, including tunnel-related schemes.
The meeting comes as part of the government’s drive to expand cooperation with regional and international financial and development institutions to support economic recovery and fund priority projects.
