Damascus, Jan. 18 (SANA) The Ministry of Economy and Industry announced on Sunday a set of measures to protect public property and factories in Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, following the withdrawal of the (SDF) from the area.
The ministry said it has appointed a supervisor to manage the industrial city and state-run factories to ensure their safety and prevent any attacks or damage.
Economy and Industry Minister Nidal al-Shaar said, via the ministry’s official Telegram channel, that the ministry is moving ahead with rehabilitating damaged facilities and returning them to operation, in addition to providing essential services in areas that have been restored to state control.
He stressed that bakeries in the countryside of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor are being given special priority to secure a continuous supply of bread and basic commodities for residents, a step aimed at supporting living stability, food security, and the national economy.
Al-Shaar added that the ministry’s plan for the restored areas focuses on improving living conditions, creating job opportunities, and revitalizing economic activity, with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency and strengthening the Syrian state’s capacity to meet citizens’ needs across all provinces.
Earlier on Sunday, the ministry announced the reactivation of the Deir Hafer automated bakery to supply bread to residents, following advances by the Syrian Arab Army in Aleppo and the surrounding area.
