Damascus, May.26 (SANA) Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Abdul Qader Tahan received a delegation from the Canadian Embassy in Lebanon headed by Canada’s Ambassador to Syria Gregory Galligan.
The meeting focused on enhancing mechanisms of joint coordination and cooperation, during which the Canadian delegation presented the new diplomatic team responsible for immigration and visa affairs related to Syria.
The team is currently tasked with following up and managing immigration-related files concerning Syria, with the aim of facilitating procedures and developing direct communication channels within this framework.
Assistant Director of the Immigration and Passports Department and a representative of the International Cooperation Department attended the meeting.
