Minister of Energy Mohammad al-Bashir issued a resolution on Tuesday setting new reduced prices for petroleum derivatives, including gasoline, diesel, and domestic and industrial-use gas cylinders, in accordance with Presidential Resolution No. 9 of 2025 and Decree No. 150 of the same year.
According to the resolution, the new retail prices will be: $0.85 per liter for 90-octane gasoline, instead of $1.1, $0.75 per liter for diesel, instead of $0.95, $10.5 for (12 kg) domestic-use gas cylinder instead of $11.8, and $16.8 for (16 kg) industrial-use gas cylinder, instead of $18.88.
The new prices take effect Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, and cancel all previous resolutions inconsistent with its provisions.
A government source told SANA that the measure is part of a comprehensive plan to reform the energy sector, particularly regarding fuel and petroleum product pricing, to ensure sustainability and fairness in distribution.
