Saudi Flyadeal to Resume Direct Flights to Damascus in October

Riyadh, SANA- Saudi Flyadeal announced to start its direct regular flights to Syria, starting October 1, in a move that reflects an increasing regional flight traffic to Damascus international airport.

Stephen Greenway, the company’s CEO, explained in a statement published on the company website that this move comes after lifting sanctions on Syria, joining a number of airlines planning to resume flights to Syria.

The company will begin operating three flights weekly from Jeddah to Damascus, followed by four flights from Riyadh starting October 2, the statement said.

According to the company, tickets are now available for booking through the flyadeal App, the company’s website, or through authorized travel agents.

Flyadeal is one of the fastest-growing low-cost airlines in the Kingdom, operating domestic and international flights from its bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam to more than 30 seasonal and scheduled destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and South Asia.

Launching direct flights to Syria represents an important step in strengthening regional connectivity and contributes to supporting recovery efforts of the country after of 14 years of war.
