Gaza reports nearly 1,000 violations of ceasefire by Israeli forces
The Palestinian Information Center

Occupied Jerusalem, Dec. 28 (SANA) The Gaza Media Office stated on Sunday that Israeli forces continue to commit serious violations of the ceasefire since it came into effect, with a total of 969 breaches recorded as of today evening, reflecting a systematic disregard for the humanitarian protocol.

The violations include 209 incidents of direct gunfire against Palestinians, 54 cases of military vehicle incursions into residential areas, 455 attacks on civilians and homes, and 162 acts of demolition targeting houses and civilian institutions. These incidents have resulted in 418 Palestinians killed, 1,141 injured, and 45 detained.

The statement also highlighted Israel’s failure to allow humanitarian aid as stipulated in the agreement. Only 19,764 trucks of aid have entered Gaza out of the agreed 48,000, representing just 42% of the commitment, further worsening humanitarian conditions in the territory.

The Gaza Media Office condemned these repeated violations as a clear circumvention of the ceasefire, holding Israel fully responsible for the continued human suffering and deteriorating conditions in Gaza.

The office called on the international community, the United Nations, and the agreement’s sponsors to pressure Israel to fully comply, ensure the protection of Palestinians, and allow the delivery of humanitarian aid and fuel as agreed.
