Damascus Chamber of Commerce: 3,200 companies established in province in current year

Chairman of Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Commerce, Abdul Rahim Ziadeh, said that 3,200 new companies have been established in various areas of the province this year as part of Syria’s economic rise.

Speaking to SANA, Ziadeh said that the Chamber is an active partner in organizing markets, supporting projects, and promoting development in the areas surrounding of the capital, Damascus.

Ziyadeh highlighted the importance of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, adding that “the Chamber consistently calls for the provision of raw materials to industrial facilities at competitive prices, similar to those in Jordan and Turkey.”

He called for seizing the current opportunity to attract expatriate businessmen as well as Arab and foreign investors to contribute to reconstruction process.
