Damascus, SANA-The Syrian Investment Agency and the UAE-based al Habtoor Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding to initiate a series of developmental and tourism projects along Syria’s coastal region. The signing ceremony took place in Damascus, attended by the Ministers of Finance and Tourism, alongside prominent economic and diplomatic figures.
The agreement, signed by Talal al-Hilali, Director of the Syrian Investment Agency, and Khalaf al Habtoor, Chairman of al Habtoor Group, aims to develop major projects in Latakia that promote sustainable tourism, generate employment, and enhance the region’s economic infrastructure.
Both ministers reaffirmed the Syrian government’s commitment to supporting investors and creating an attractive investment climate. They also praised Al Habtoor’s philanthropic contribution of over $6 million to charitable and development organizations in Syria.
Khalaf Al Habtoor expressed his delight at visiting Syria for the first time, emphasizing his desire to collaborate with the Syrian people in building a shared future. He commended the professionalism of Syrian talent and the country’s potential for innovation.
