Damascus, SANA- The 62nd Damascus International Fair, held from August 28 to September 5, attracted 2,261,000 visitors, while value of contracts and agreements concluded exceeded SYP 935 billion, official said.
Director General of the Syrian Public Establishment for International Fairs & Exhibitions, Mohammad Hamza, said that “more than 800 local, Arab, and foreign companies participated in the current session, in addition to representatives from 44 countries. The average number of daily visitors during the exhibition recorded 251,222.
According to Hamza, local visitors accounted for 96 percent of the total number, with 2,170,560 visitors, compared to 90,440 international visitors, representing 4 percent of the total number of visitors.
