Latakia, June 10 (SANA) Artists and performers with disabilities and orphaned children showcased their talents at a cultural festival in Latakia on Tuesday, taking part in exhibitions and stage performances aimed at promoting inclusion and community engagement.

The “Nostalgia Haneen” festival featured an art exhibition at the Arab Cultural Center in Latakia, where participants displayed paintings and handicrafts before presenting a series of artistic performances on stage.

Organizers said the event sought to provide a platform for people with disabilities and orphans to present their work to the public and demonstrate their creative abilities.

Mohannad Mardin, public relations director at the Manarat al-Ulama Association, said 12 participants took part in stage performances, while 13 others exhibited artwork and handicrafts.

“The goal is to give participants the opportunity to showcase their talents and engage directly with the community,” Mardin told SANA.

Several participants said the festival helped them connect with audiences and encouraged them to continue developing their artistic skills.

The event was organized by the Manarat al-Ulama Association in cooperation with the Directorates of Social Affairs and Labor and Culture in Latakia as part of broader cultural and social initiatives aimed at supporting local talent and expanding community participation in cultural activities.
