President al-Sharaa, UAE President discuss ties and regional developments
President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a phone call with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan - SANA

Damascus, April 5 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a phone call with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

During the call, President al-Sharaa stressed the strength of brotherly relations between the two countries and Syria’s commitment to strengthening cooperation across various sectors in the interest of both peoples.

The two leaders also discussed the implications of ongoing military escalation in the region and ways to enhance Arab cooperation to mitigate its impact on the security and stability of Arab states, and emphasized the importance of adopting joint approaches to address current challenges.

President al-Sharaa reiterated Syria’s condemnation of Iranian aggressions targeting some Arab countries, stressing the need to respect state sovereignty and ensure security and stability.
