Deir Ezzor, SANA – Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Minister Abdullah al-Gharbi affirmed that the government is committed to providing the needs of the people of Deir Ezzor in the face of the siege imposed on it by terrorists.

Touring the Deir Ezzor city on Friday accompanied by Deir Ezzor Governor Mohammad Ibrahim Samra, al-Gharbi inspected the state of services and provisions and al-Karama bread-production plan, witnessing the free distribution of bread to locals through special outlets set up by the government in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC).

The Minister then visited the grain storage center, where he stressed the need to protect the center from rain, the weather, and terrorist attacks. He also visited one of the army units defending the city.

In a statement to journalists, al-Gharbi said that the people in Deir Ezzor are steadfast, and that the government is preparing logistic support to bolster their steadfastness, asserting that the necessary provisions and supplies in addition to heating supplies and fuel will be provided during the next few days.
