Beirut, SANA –Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Mar Ignatius Ephrem II condemned on Monday the terrorist acts against Christians in Syria and Iraq and the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
During his meeting Cardinal Mar Bishara al-Rahi, Patriarch Ephrem II warned of the dangers of the acts displacement, killing and destruction of churches and houses by the terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq on the Christian presence in the region.
He denounced the calls voiced by Franc, the UK and other European states on Christians to migrate from Lebanon, stressing that migration is not a solution.
He rejected such calls because “they serve the plot of the extremists.”
