Damascus, SANA – Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced on Saturday that Qamqam /3/ gas well in al-Furuqlus area in Homs has been put back into production.
Linked with the gas factory supplying the area in the southern part of the Central Region, Qamqam well has been rehabilitated and can now produce natural gas at a daily rate of 200,000-250,000 cubic meters, according to a statement issued by the Ministry.
It had been stopped since 2013.
In the same context, the Ministry also announced that it has re-operated the Refinement Department within the Gasoline Production Units at Homs Refinery.
