Priority is to fight terrorism, Information Minister asserts

Damascus, SANA- Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi asserted that the priority now is to fight terrorism as a premise for implementing any political solution to the crisis in Syria and the way is open in front of any side wants to be seriously part in the war against terrorism.

In an Interview with the Syrian TV Wednesday night, al-Zoubi stated that the interview of President Bashar al-Assad with some Russian media outlets addressed directly and accurately the reality of the local, regional and international political scene and underscored the national project to fight terrorism and how to conceive practicing the political work in Syria.

President al-Assad, he asserted, showed logical and objective conception and a large volume of lucidity in addressing the Syrian people at home and abroad without any exception.

On the phenomenon of immigrating outside Syria, al-Zoubi pointed out that the first cause is terrorism practiced by ISIS terrorist organization, because people don’t want to die by bomb cars, beheadings or any other way at the hand of the terrorist organizations, highlighting that the European countries directly bear primary responsibility because their political performance was bad and tainted with political, diplomatic and economic terrorism.

Concerning dialogue with the opposition, The Minister said that Moscow 2 has came up with ten results and points on which views of the governmental delegation and the existing opposition sides were converged, thus what has been accomplished by Moscow 2 must be completed by Moscow 3 to pave the way for making Geneva 3 a success.

There are, al-Zoubi added, powers and entities that don’t want dialogue or elections, but only want Damascus keys and the establishments of the state, asserting that this will not happen.

He viewed the so called US-led “international alliance” against ISIS as a political propaganda that has no effect on ground and it doesn’t comply with the West’s media statements, but rather it targets worthless selective goals, clarifying that Washington has no real will to face this terrorist organization.

The Minister continued to say that the current US administration respect neither the Charter of the United Nations nor the national sovereignty of other countries, where it works to interfere in those countries’ internal affairs and to impose agendas to change their politica systems by the so called ” Arab Spring” but its project has doomed to failure and couldn’t persist on pursuing this course.
