Jeddah, (SANA) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed Saturday with his Saudi counterpart Saud al-Faisal the crisis in Syria and the situation in Iraq and the regional situation.
The two sides reiterated the necessity of coordinating the regional efforts, particularly between Russia and Saudi Arabia for finding a solution to the crisis in Iraq.
“Moscow is concerned with the stability and prosperity of the Middle East and that its people, with all their spectrums, including the Christians, enjoy peace and tranquility,” Lavrov said.
Meeting Saudi Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and National Guard Minister Mitab Bin Abdul Aziz, lavrov stressed that a stable Middle East opens additional potentials for common cooperation.
