Damascus, SANA- Aleppo International Airport has resumed operations, as Cham Wings Airlines operated its first flights today, departing from Damascus International Airport.
“two flights a week (every Sunday and Thursday) between Damascus and Aleppo and vice versa,” the airline said in a statement.
The airline articulated that operating these flights is part of its strategy to facilitate travel between Damascus, Aleppo, Idleb, and the northern regions, and vice versa, and to overcome travel and transportation challenges. These flights will help travelers arriving from Europe, Turkey, and Jordan continue their journeys on the company’s airlines to reach these regions.
Aleppo International Airport reopened and resumed operations on March 18, following three months of intensive maintenance and restoration work.
