Death toll from the quake that hit Turkey rises to 39 thousand

Ankara, SANA- Disaster and Emergency Management of Turkey (AFAD) has announced Saturday that the death toll from the earthquake that hit the country on February 6^th has risen up to 39,672.

‘The number of injured in the quake has amounted to 108,086, meanwhile 216,347 have been evacuated from the affected regions’, Anadolu Agency quoted AFAD as saying in a statement.

Earlier, a previous toll indicated that the deaths reached to 38,044.
