With SANA’s Participation…BRICS Media Summit continues in Moscow

Moscow, SANA- The BRICS Media Summit hosted by Russia’s TASS agency continued today in Moscow.

Representatives of the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) and a number of news agencies and media organizations from the organization’s countries and friendly countries, as well as Russian and foreign official, media, social and cultural figures are participating in these activities.

Delivering a speech at the summit, SANA representative and Moscow office manager, Fahd Kem Nakish conveyed the congratulations of SANA management and Director Genera ,Iyad Wannous to TASS and its Director General Andrey Kondrashov on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the establishment of TASS agency, and noted that the Russian agency ranks first in the list of international news agencies by reporting events as they happen to a wide audience that follows them on every continent of the world.

Kem Nakish expressed Syrian side’s support for the proposal to establish a joint media platform for the BRICS group and its friends, recalling that Syria has been exposed to all kinds of terrorism, including media terrorism, through the media sphere, which has closed its channels in order to prevent the world public from knowing the truth about the terrorist crimes it has faced.

The SANA representative also noted that Syria and Russia are partners in the fight against terrorism, evil forces and neo-Nazism in the Middle East, Ukraine or any other region, and that the BRICS group, together with the Shanghai Organization and the Collective Security Treaty Organization, plays a leading role in global transformations in defending the sovereignty of states, the independence of their decisions and the fundamental rights of their peoples.
