Syria’s national basketball team lose to its Lebanese counterpart

Beirut, SANA- Syria men’s national basketball team (Nosour Qasioun) lost to its Lebanese counterpart (76-82) in a friendly match brought them together Friday in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, as a part of the preparations for the 3rd window of FIBA World Cup 2022 qualifying.

Within Nosour Qasioun’s preparatory external Training Camp, the two teams will meet again tomorrow, Saturday, in another friendly match. Following that, the Syrian team will play in Aleppo against Bahraini and Iranian counterparts on 1st and 4th July, respectively.

In case the Syrian team wins the first match against Bahrain’s, it will ensure its qualifying to the second round of FIBA, and will be ranked third in the group gathering Kazakhstan, Iran and Bahrain.
