Moscow, SANA- Syria and Russia have discussed means of cooperation between two sides in rehabilitating and developing the educational complexes and opening centers specialized in psychological support for students and their families.
That came during a meeting between Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa and his Russian counterpart, Sergey Kravtsov on the sidelines a visit paid by a Syrian delegation headed by Minister Tabbaa to Moscow.
The Syrian government is keen on continuing the educational process despite the harsh conditions of war and the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, in parallel with continuing to restore and rehabilitate schools and implementing plans and programs to compensate for what students missed during the years of war, Tabbaa said.
He added “The government also cares about the psychological condition of the students through activating sport, artistic and musical activities and developing vocational education in preparation for the reconstruction stage.”
For his part, Minister Kravtsov expressed his country’s interest in supporting the educational process in Syria, providing assistance in rehabilitating educational complexes, modernizing their infrastructure, and contributing to the establishment of centers specialized in psychological support for the students and their families.
Kravtsov highly appreciated Syria, its civilized history, and its key role in the Middle East and the world.
