Damascus, SANA-The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced on Tuesday that it will not permit any activities to collect personal data, based on electronic forms, from Syrian citizens, whether they are state employees or others, except through the Ministry, via its electronic platforms, or through platforms approved by it.
The ministry said in a circular, that this comes through based on the necessity of protecting the personal data of Syrian citizens, especially state employees, and to prevent its exploitation in illegal ways that may harm state cadres or citizens, and to ensure the organization and control of personal data collection activities under the state supervision.
