Temperatures to drop, rainfalls expected over coastal areas

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become from 4 to 6 degrees below average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by cold air mass extending into upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the skies will be partially cloudy with occasional showers accompanied by thunderstorms over the coastal areas, while the weather will be relatively cold at night, warning against frost over the mountains.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly between low to moderate speed active gusts sometimes, while the sea waves will be medium in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 15/5, Daraa 17/6, Homs 15/7, Lattakia 16/11, Aleppo 17/6 and Deir Ezzor 21/9.
