Baghdad, SANA – Iraqi President, Barham Salih, discussed on Monday with Syrian Ambassador in Baghdad, Satam Jada’an al-Dandah, bilateral relations between Syria and Iraq and means of developing them.
“President Salih and al-Dandah affirmed the importance of relationship between the two brotherly peoples who are connected by close historical and social ties… they also referred to the significance of working to develop the relations in a way that serves the security, stability and interests of the two countries, “ A statement by the Iraqi Presidency said.
According to the statement, President Salih stressed that the stability of region is correlated to stability of Iraq and Syria as well as backing cooperation tracks and solidarity among countries of the region.
The Iraqi President noted that the international community and countries of the region assume a big responsibility to overcome crises and tensions in the Middle East.
