Spanish researchers, academicians: Israeli attacks on Syrian territory flagrant violation of international law

Madrid, SANA- Pablo Sabbagh, a researcher and academician at the Complutense University of Madrid, condemned the repeated Israeli acts of aggression on Syrian territory, stressing that they are a flagrant violation of international law and a threat to the regional and global security.

In an interview with SANA’s correspondent in Madrid, the researcher said” Syria has the right to defend itself, particularly at a time when “Israel’s” allies at the UN Security Council refuse to condemn such hostilities”.

“Those who remain silent regarding the Israeli attacks are the ones who violate the legitimacy of international law and the UN Charter, and who accept the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the US and the EU against the Syrian people,” Sabbagh added.

For his part, the Researcher and History Professor at the private University of “CIU San Paolo” in Madrid and president of the Social Cultural Forum, José Luis Orella, criticized the role of the Western media, which has distorted the facts about the acts of terrorist organizations and the repeated Israeli attacks on Syria, calling for lifting the coercive measures and allowing the access to health equipment so that the Syrian people could face the Coronavirus pandemic.

In turn, Military Researcher and Director of the Spanish Geopolitical Institute, Juan Antonio Aguilar, condemned the schemes hatched against Syria and the continued military aggression against it by the Zionist entity and the external support provided to Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization and other armed gangs, the economic blockade and the systematic theft of the oil and the property of the Syrian people, in addition to unjust coercive economic measures.

Aguilar pointed out to the role of the Turkish regime in supporting armed organizations and the support provided by the United States and “Israel” to QSD militia as part of the plans to target Syria and its legitimate government.
