Capitals, SANA –The novel Coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than a million and 626 thousand persons worldwide since its appearance last December, according to the latest statistics by the American website of Worldometers.
According to the website, the total number of Coronavirus cases worldwide has reached up till now 73,137,828, while the global death toll has reached up to 1,626,881 and the number of the recoveries has amounted to 51,227,047.
The United States is still on top of countries affected by Coronavirus where the total number of coronavirus cases has climbed to 16,908,103, of which 307,835 have passed away.
Meanwhile India comes in the second place with the registration of 143,746 deaths, out of 9,906,484 cases, while Brazil comes in the third place after recording 181,835 deaths out of 6,927,145 coronavirus cases.
