Coronavirus death toll exceeds one million and a half worldwide

Capitals, SANA-The novel coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of 1,557,266 persons, and 68,291,434 have infected, while 47,267,057 have recovered.

The Worldmeters website announced that the United States comes to the forefront of the most affected countries by the virus as the total number of infections has reached 15,442,728 cases after  it has registered 72,141 new infections during the past twenty-four hours, while the total deaths  have reached 291,727 after it has registered 1,238 new deaths.

India is ranked second in the list with 9,735,975n infections, after registering 32,067 new cases, in addition to 141,398  total deaths after it has registered 404 new deaths.

In turn, Brazil remained in third place after the total number of infections has reached 6 ,949,036 cases .

It also has registered  2,884 new infections, in addition to 177,400 deaths among them  12 new cases.

220,000 new infections of Coronavirus in USA

The USA has recorded about 220,000 new infections of Coronavirus during the past 24 hours.

According to a statistic of Johns Hopkins University, the mortality due to the virus in the country has reached about 2,500.

This brings the total number of infections in the USA to more than 15 million since the spread of the pandemic, while the number of deaths has reached more than 286,000.

In the Arab world, the Ministry of Health in Morocco announced 2,900 new infections of Coronavirus, and 3,450 recoveries, and 50 deaths.

In Algeria, the Ministry of Health recorded 591 new cases of Coronavirus, 12 deaths and 498 patients recovered, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 89,416 and the total deaths to 2,539.
