On their day, a particular bike path for disabled persons in Barniyah street in Damascus opened

Damascus, SANA- On the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons and with participation of number of athletes, the Syrian Special Olympics Foundation opened on Friday a bike path for disabled persons in Barniyah street in Damascus.

The participants set off along the 1,300 meters rout in front of al- Fayhaa stadium until Barniyah street, later they planted several saplings on both sides of the route.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the special Olympics in Syria, Tarif Qutrash, told SANA that the Foundation orgsnizes a number of special activities for people with special needs every year on this occasion to send greetings and draw smile on their faces and merge  them  with the community.

He indicated that the bike path has been completed in cooperation with the Damascus province to support people with special needs, adding that this experiment will be applied in several provinces.
