Diplomatic Club organizes charity bazaar

Damascus, SANA – The Diplomatic Club in Syria organized a charity bazaar at Sheraton Hotel in Damascus, featuring products from the 12 participating states, with the proceeds going to civil societies that care for orphans and children with disabilities.

The bazaar included a presentation on the Club’s activities prior to its seven-year hiatus, in addition to tango and classical music performances by the Argentinian Embassy.

In a speech, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad said that the resumption of the Club’s activities has much significance, as it shows that the situation has improved in Syria, affirming that the Ministry will provide all necessary support for such initiatives.

For her part, the bazaar’s organizer, Mercedes Vaz Pitaluga, wife of the Brazilian Ambassador in Damascus, said the Diplomatic Club has always strived to achieve social, cultural, and charity goals since its establishment 25 years ago.
