New York, SANA- Algeria and Somalia called Thursday for an emergency session of UN Security Council to discuss the repercussions of the recent Israeli attacks targeted the Syrian territory.
“The call for holding emergency session came after consultation and agreement with Arab Group in New York”, Algerian News Agency (APS) said in a statement.
The UN Security Council Presidency is expected to hold an emergency session Thursday morning, According to APS.
The Group A3+ at UN Security Council, which includes Algeria, Sierra Leone, and Somalia, in addition to Guyana Republic, reiterated in March its commitment to Syria’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, calling for non-interference in its domestic affairs and lifting unilateral coercive measures imposed on the country.
