Tehran , SANA- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that terrorism has no place in the region, and that its security cannot be achieved without respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of its countries, including Syria.
Zarif’s remarks came during a session of Iran’s Shura Council on Sunday.
He said that the only way for Turkey to ensure its security is through respecting Syria’s sovereignty and activating the Adana Agreement between the two countries.
He indicated that building dams in Turkey would affect water security in Syria and Iraq, noting that this is a problem that affects Syria and Iraq directly as well as Iran.
