Cabinet approves strategy for improving poultry sector

Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet approved during its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Sunday a strategy for improving the poultry sector.

The Cabinet also approved lowering the electricity fees for agriculutal projects, allocating SYP 500 million to improve the performance of the General Poultry Establishment, as well as allocating SYP 1 billion for providing a grant for rural families consisting of 15 egg-laying hens and 50 kg of feed.

The Cabinet said that any gas station that tampers with petroleum products and smart cards will lose its license.

The Cabinet also approved the regulations for issuing unpaid vacations for state employees, and a document on the return of private universities to their original headquarters.
