Cabinet reviews steps taken by ministries to simplify paperwork

Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet was briefed during a session on Sunday chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis the steps taken by the Interior Ministry for simplifying paperwork related to civil affairs and issuing passports and driver’s licenses.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor also gave a presentation on its work for simplifying procedures and developing social securities.

The Cabinet discussed a proposal from the Syrian Investment Agency for simplifying procedures for investors through which the Investor Services Center services as the main gateway through which investors procure all necessary approvals and documents.

The Cabinet also decided to study and update the list of products proposed for local production.

The Ministers discussed a bill on increasing the minimum capital of internal money transfer companies so that their capitals correspond with their actual activities.
