Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudeh Sabbagh affirmed the importance of bolstering Syrian-Lebanese relations, especially parliamentary ones.
Sabbagh remarks came during a meeting with the Lebanese Ambassador in Damascus Saad Zakhia, in which the latter stressed the need to activate the signed agreements with Syria, reaching 85 in all fields and sectors.
Speaking about the situation of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon, Zakhia rejected rumors about the use of them as “a political paper”, saying that “there is a suspicious activity of some international organizations about the displaced.”
He also referred to the difficulties facing the displaced Syrians in the documentation and registration of their births, where the number of births has reached 80,000, adding that the Lebanese government could not register them.
