Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudeh Sabbagh affirmed the deep-rooted relations binding Syria and Algeria, expressing high appreciation over Algeria’s stances in support of Syria in facing the terrorist war against it.
Meeting Algerian Ambassador in Damascus Lahsan Tuhami on Thursday, Sabbagh called for bolstering and developing the parliamentary relations and exchanging expertise between the two brotherly countries.
Sabbagh added that the main reason behind aggression against Syria is its rejection to compromise on the Arab issues, mainly the Palestinian cause.
For his part, the Algerian Ambassador hailed steadfastness of Syrian leadership, army and people in facing the war against it, affirming the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries in serving the interest of the two brotherly countries.
