Sweida, SANA – A French youth delegation of Christian Relief Association visited on Tuesday the province of Sweida.
During their visit, members of the delegation met a number of religious, social and cultural activities, and toured some of Sweida’s cultural, historical and tourist landmarks.
“We came to Syria to salute your resilience and convey the truth to the French people. We are proud to show you the true face of France, not the face of the government,” said the chairman of the delegation Iskandar Oumid.
The youth delegation members said that despite all the challenges they had faced in France, they insisted to come to Syria, “because it was necessary to visit the country nowadays.”
They underlined that the Association which deals with the humanitarian and cultural aspects, and operates all over the Syrian territory since 2013, increased the number of French who have been visiting Syria and working with the Association to hundreds.
During the visit of the delegation to Ain-Zaman’s Shrine, Shaikh Aql al-Muahideen, Yusuf Jarboa’a, said that Syria was the cradle of civilizations and spread love and peace to the peoples of the world.
He pointed out that Syria’s enemies tried to destroy it, exploiting misleading media to deceive the world public opinion and convey a distorted image far away from the reality of the situation.
