13 Syrian Artists embody their visions through an exhibition in Canada

Damascus, SANA- The Museum of Artists and Craftsmen in St. Laurent in Quebec in Canada is currently hosting an exhibition dubbed “Visions of artists from Syria” which showcases artworks by thirteen Syrian artists.

The exhibition, organized by the Syrian Cultural Center in Canada, is witnessing a huge turnout among the Canadian cultural and artistic circles.

Various kinds of artistic pieces, including oil paintings and sculptures made of different materials and with various techniques are displayed at the exhibition which also touches upon many themes, mainly related to heritage and history along with contemporary works.

In a statement to SANA, Director of the Syrian Cultural Center in Canada Nabil Beitenjaneh said that the exhibition is an opportunity for the Canadians to get acquainted with the artistic potentials of the Syrian expatriates in Canada, particularly that it coincides with the 375th anniversary of Montreal City Day.

Beitenjaneh added that the exhibition will last till 28th September.

The exhibition aims at reflecting the deep-rooted civilization of the Syrian people and their ability to spread culture, art and peace everywhere, plastic artist Randa Hijazi said, adding “We are the builders of culture and peace-advocates.”
