Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet discussed in its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Tuesday issues related to real-estate, municipalities, distribution of fuel, religious tourism, field visits by ministers, and industrial zones.
The Cabinet called on all ministers to increase their surprise field visits to departments and directorates to truly assess their performance, and decided to form an inspection mission to study the mechanism for the distribution of fuel in Damascus Countryside.
The Cabinet also called for forming a work team to evaluate the performance of municipalities and following on the state of the Atomic Energy Agency, in addition to discussing the performance of the General Directorate of Real-Estate Affairs.
The Cabinet decided to form a supervision committee for formulating the human development plan, and tasked the Local Administration and Environment Ministry to work towards finishing work in industrial zones.
Also, the Cabinet approved the new mechanism set by the Tourism Ministry for attracting religious tourists, and approved the technical, legal, and financial conditions for launching the web TV service through packages of channels broadcast via the internet.
A number of bills were approved during the session, including one on amending the taxes law to prevent double taxation.
