The army kills more terrorists, including snipers, destroys two car boms

Provinces, SANA- Units of the army and armed forces on Saturday launched wide-scale operations against dens and positions of the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, killing scores of their members and destroying their arms and vehicles.

Homs

Units of the army and armed forces on Friday destroyed two car bombs for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists in the eastern countryside of the central Homs province.

A source in the province told SANA reporter that a unit of the army and the armed forces positioned on the road of Palmyra-al-Tifour remotely targeted a car bomb driven by a terrorist from the ISIS, before reaching a military post near the roundabout of Shahar village as the car exploded and the terrorist was killed.

The source added that an army unit foiled another attack on the 4th station of oil transporting, 80 km to the east of Homs city, with a car bomb driven by an ISIS suicide bomber.

The source indicated that the car was destroyed before reaching the station as its driver was killed and a material damage was reported in the area.

Army units and popular defense forces eliminated a number of ISIS terrorists near Palmyra, the quarries, and Wadi Abyad dam in Homs countryside, while another unit thwarted an attempt by ISIS terrorists’s attempt to infiltrate Abu al-Fawares quarries area from the direction of Palmyra, killing a number of terrorists and destroying an armored vehicle.

Another unit clashed with ISIS terrorists who were attempting to sneak from al-Rajm village on the eastern outskirts of al-Badiye desert to Oum Jame’a village in al-Mkharram area, killing and injuring a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammo, while the remaining terrorists fled.

In the province’s northern countryside, an army unit eliminated many terrorists following a series of strikes targeting their hideouts near al-Ashtar mosque and Osaili bridge east of al-Rastan, 20km north of Homs city.

Damascus Countryside

Sources on the ground told SANA’s correspondent that army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance, carried out intensive strikes targeting terrorists’ hideouts in various parts of Zabadani city, which is located around 45km northwest of Damascus.

This resulted in destroying a 23-mm machinegun and the death of a number of terrorists including Ali Murrei, one of the leaders of the “Ahrar al-Cham Movement” terrorist group, along with Mohammad Hamdan, Khaled al-Dalati, and Ammar al-Halbuni.

In the Eastern Ghouta area in Damascus Countryside, army operations resulted in destroying terrorists’ hideouts and one of their vehicles in Douma city and in killing a number of terrorists including Hussein al-Satleh, Haitham Alloush, Osama Hamid, and Mohammad Anjila, while three other terrorists were killed east of the tanneries in Jobar area.

An army unit targeted concentrations of terrorists in the town of Erbin, killing many of them including Zuhair al-Asbah and Mohammad Zarifeh.

In the southern part of Eastern Ghouta, army units pursued terrorists in the farms of al-Zamanyeh and al-Qasimyeh villages, inflicting losses upon them.

Other army units targeted hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in Khan al-Sheih farms in the southwestern part of Damascus Countryside, leaving many terrorists dead or injured.

Later, a military source told SANA that an army unit killed a number of terrorists, injured others, and destroyed a number of their hideouts along with the weapons and ammo inside them in al-Khazrajiye farms north of Sa’asa’ town.

Daraa

In southern Syria, Terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called al-Muthanna Movement suffered heavy losses during army operations that targeted their hideouts in Atman town, about 4 km north of Daraa city.

The operations resulted in the destruction of one of the terrorists’ hideouts with all weapons and ammunition inside it, in addition to killing a number of them.

Scores of terrorists were also killed and injured and one of their vehicles was destroyed in a special army operation that targeted their movements to the southwest of al-Nueimeh village and in al-Karak and Rakhm in the eastern countryside of Daraa province.

Sweida 

An army unit clashed with ISIS terrorists after monitoring their movements from the direction of Khirbat Sa’ad towards Bouthaina hill in the northeastern countryside of the southern Sweida province.

The source added that a number of ISIS terrorists were killed in the clashes, their vehicles destroyed, some of them were equipped with a heavy machinegun and various types of arms and ammunition.

Lattakia 

A unit of the army killed 15 terrorists in Salma town in the northern countryside of the coastal Lattakia province.

Idleb and Hama

All members of a Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group were killed as the army targeted their position in Qastoun village in the northwestern countryside of the central Hama province.

Hideouts and vehicles of terrorists were destroyed and many of them were killed in the villages of Skeik and al-Sayyad in Kafar Zita area, a main Jabhat al-Nusra stronghold in the northern countryside of Hama.

An army unit destroyed a hideout of terrorists affiliated to the so-called “Suqour al-Ghab” group in al-Latamneh town. Armored vehicles, some equipped with heavy machine guns, were destroyed.

The operations left 9 terrorists killed, including Samer Rajab, Mohammad al-Eleiwi, Yousef al -Halabi, Jum’eh al-Hamsho, Ali Abu Bakr and Mohammad Najm. 23 terrorists were also injured, according to the source.
Field sources also said an army unit killed 10 terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in al-Zakat village, located on the border between Hama and the northern Idleb province.

In the southern countryside of Idleb, army operations in the towns of al-Taman’eh and Hass in Maaret al-Nouman area left a hideout of terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Fateh” and an ammunition depot destroyed.

Hasaka

SANA reporter in Hasaka said an army unit killed three ISIS snipers in al-Villat al-Homr neighborhood in Hasaka city.

Fierce clashes erupted between the army units and terrorists of the Islamic State in
Iraq and Syria (ISIS) who tried to infiltrate into the military posts on the axes of the Children Hospital, al-Nashwa al-Sharqiya, Dolab al-Owaisi , field sources told SANA on Friday.

The sources added that the army operations in the neighborhoods where the ISIS terrorists have, infiltrated earlier continue to eliminate their positions in the buildings extending between the Faculty of Economy and Al-Panorama roundabout in parallel with the continued operations to comb al-Nashwa al-Sharqiya neighborhood.

Other army units carried out direct blows against the ISIS terrorists’ positions in al-panorama, the main electricity transmission station, al-Mijbel southeast of Hasaka city, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
