Damascus, SANA – Finance Minister Mohamed Yisr Barnieh affirmed that the achievements made in just a few months of preparation for the 62nd Damascus International Fair constitute a major national achievement, as it brought together under one roof Syria’s industries, initiatives, and partners from within and outside Syria.
Minister Barnieh posted on his account on Facebook that the Damascus International Fair has yielded dozens of contracts and agreements, reflecting its role in stimulating small and medium-sized enterprises, accelerating investment programs, and supporting industrialists, farmers, and innovators across Syria’s governorates.
Barnieh noted that the Ministry of Finance was part of this movement, organizing workshops and dialogue sessions on development issues and the financial sector, with the participation of ministers, experts, and fair visitors in an interactive setting that reflects Syrians’ confidence in their future.
The 62nd Damascus International Fair, which began on August 27, concluded on Friday with over 2 million visitors, a clear indication of the great success of this prominent economic and cultural event in Syria and the region.
