Damascus, SANA – Minister of Culture, Mohammad Yassin Saleh, discussed Sunday with Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Heikal, Mechanisms for effectively using digital transformation in the Syrian cultural sector.
Minister Saleh stressed during the meeting that using digital technology is an urgent necessity for documenting heritage and conveying it to future generations, thus strengthening national identity and expanding the prospects of cultural exchange at the local and international levels.
Minister Heikal pointed out that the joint work between two ministries is a strategic step toward building a sustainable national digital memory that preserves history and enhances Syrian cultural identity.
The meeting comes within the framework of a strategic national vision aimed at enhancing the integration of institutional efforts to preserve cultural heritage and expand Syria’s presence in the digital space.
