Syria and Jordan Agree to Cancel Diesel Tax on Buses

Damascus,SANA – The General Authority for Land and Sea Ports in Syria announced that it has reached an agreement with  Jordanian authorities to cancel the $115 diesel tax imposed on Syrian buses entering Jordan.

Under the agreement, the cancellation is reciprocal, as this tax will not be imposed on Syrian buses heading to Jordan, nor on Jordanian buses entering Syria.

This will help alleviate the financial burden on transport companies and stimulate land transportation between the two countries.
