Damascus, SANA-Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed Al-Saleh said that the ministry aims to enhance social readiness for disasters by ensuring that every Syrian house includes a trained and qualified individual, noting that the ministry was established in response to the significant challenges the country has faced.
“The ministry has benefited from the experiences of 17 countries and has integrated the White Helmets organization into its structure to preserve its expertise and strengthen national emergency response,” al-Saleh said In an interview with Al-Ikhbariya TV.
He added that civil defense will become one of the ministry’s specializations, taking into consideration preserving its identity and logo.
Al-Saleh emphasized that the ministry will not recruit any cadres that are involved in past violations.
