Damascus, SANA-Minister of Justice Dr. Mazhar al-Weis discussed with the Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Cooperation Dr. Ruba Muhaisen ways to support joint cooperation between the two ministries.
During the meeting, the discussion focused on activating communication channels with diplomatic missions to enhance technical support for the justice sector, support the Ministry of Justice’s efforts in transitional justice and judicial reform programs, and facilitate coordination with international organizations for reconstruction and infrastructure rehabilitation.
The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation with friendly countries in the fields of judicial training, the exchange of legal expertise, and the issue of prosecuting criminals and recovering public funds.
The two sides stressed the importance of coordination to develop a joint action plan to enhance the international presence of the Syrian judicial sector and ensure that justice policies align with the state’s diplomatic orientations.
