Tourism Ministry develops a plan to promote domestic and foreign tourism

Damascus, SANA – The Ministry of Tourism launched a plan to develop domestic and international tourism, aiming to enhance the diversity of tourism products in various categories, including cultural, health, therapeutic, environmental, and conference tourism.

The plan includes improving the infrastructure and services provided to visitors, with the aim of effectively contributing to the development of domestic and international tourism and encouraging tourists to visit Syria, especially during the summer season.

Deputy Minister of Tourism for Development and Investment Affairs, Ghiath al-Farrah, said that the Ministry is working to support and empower local communities, in cooperation with the administrative units of municipalities and governorates.

He indicated that extensive marketing campaigns will be launched and effective international partnerships will be established, resulting in an increase in the number of local and international tourists, developing the national economy, providing job opportunities, and highlighting national identity and heritage.
